Green Burrow Artisans

Green Burrow Artisans is a small family-run bakery in Johnston, Iowa. My name is Jennifer, and I created this business to share my love of baking with those in the community.  Fifteen years ago, my son was diagnosed with severe gluten intolerance. Not one to back away from a challenge, I immediately started experimenting with converting our favorite recipes. I sought to create recipes that are not only gluten-free but taste great to those who don’t have any dietary restrictions. I love hearing customers say, “Wow, I would never guess this was gluten-free!” I hope you agree!  While I do all the baking, Green Burrow Artisans is—at its core—a family-run business that celebrates the artistic endeavors of each of us. You can find us at select Des Moines area farmer’s markets and craft fairs where we will have an assortment of various art creations alongside our gluten-free bakery offerings.
